Biologist Heidi Rosenstock played an important role in the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau (EKHN) for over 40 years with her critical and visionary thinking and actions. Among other contributions she volunteered as a member of the church management and the synod. As an author of liturgical texts and as a congregational and organizational consultant, she was one of the early feminist theologians of the 20th century in Germany.
In a charming and humorous way, she succeeded in convincing individuals and committees of her concerns and winning them over for her causes. In doing so, she set the tone and provided impetus for church reform processes.
