Biologist Heidi Rosenstock played an important role in the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau (EKHN) for more than 40 years. Her work was marked by critical thinking, visionary ideas and a willingness to challenge existing structures. She volunteered as a member of the church management and the synod. As an author of liturgical texts and as a congregational and organizational consultant, she became one of the early feminist theologians in 20th-century Germany.

With charm and humor, she often convinced people of her concerns. She spoke clearly, explained her goals with patience and won individuals and committees for her causes. In doing so, she set new impulses and contributed to important church reform processes.

Through interviews and personal insight, the den Himmel denken documentary highlights the lasting impact of her work. It also shows the perspectives she brought to contemporary theological and social discourse.
