Hotline (wt)
A psychological drama following the dilemmas and struggles of Edona, a young woman studying psychology in Prishtina while working at “Linja e Jetes”, acrisis helpline for trauma and suicide prevention. As she listens to countless heartbreaking stories, she finds herself deeply affected byt helingering scars of Kosovo’s last war-one she was too young to fully remember but is now forced to confront through the voices of the survivors.
Among the many callers, she forms an unusual bond with a former soldier suffering from PTSD (Post-TraumaticStress Disorder). Haunted by his past, he spends sleepless nights reliving the horrors of massacres and the c ountless lives lost before his eyes. His depressive state begins to mirror Edona’s own reality, as she struggles with an abusive relationship and the oppressive presence of a violent brother.
Despite her attempts to help him, the soldier finds himself unable to escape the grip of despair. His tragic loss and her perceived failure to save him leave Edona consumed with guilt-but also ignite an inner strength she never knew she had. Fueled by sorrow and determination, she chooses to fight-not just for others, but for herself. If she cannot save him, she will at least save herself from the suffocating cycle of abuse that has long held her captive.
